Wona: Loose leaf store

Skills. We have all got them. It is one of the best things we can exchange. And skill swapping is definitely one of my favourite things to trade.
I'm a bit delayed on writing about this trade. By the time we traded flowers, the event happened, we made time to book in a weaving lesson and now I'm writing about it - months have passed. But it doesn't take away from its amazingness.Wona traded me a weaving lesson and a case of beer for some amazing "foraged"** almond blossom tree trunks and branches, which she then used for an installation at White Rabbit Beer.Learning to weave from the master of weaving installations was pretty great. The key advice given was:
JUST IMAGINE THAT YOU ARE DANCING.
And I thought that was so beautiful. And that, above all else was what has stuck in my mind from this trade. I think about it every time I am picking flowers or arranging them and it has changed the way I "move" with them. Although I haven't applied the advice to weaving itself, I have applied it to what I do.I guess you never know what you are going to learn from someone else.
