The image above is one I just received from a trade we did a few months ago.A few months back, Rachel called me and asked if we could trade some seasonal, pretty, girly, elegant, flowers to use in a shoot for the upcoming launch of her new business (Rachel Laura - Fine Jewellery and Flowers). So I put together a few buckets of the most free, frilly and girly flowers I could find. And the above image is just one image that came out of her beautiful shoot. it is one of the best feelings to see the flowers you have grown, cared for and put so much love in to, used in the same way. When I look at the images from the shoot, there is this feeling inside my heart I can't explain, but its something like a big mix of happiness, gratefulness and joy put into one feeling all at one time. They look like they are straight from the garden, and this is a beautiful thing.
Then came the trade. Rachel and I met up for a coffee so that she could measure my fingers and create me a perfectly fitting ring. What was meant to be a quick coffee, became a 2 hour rendezvous, talking all things life and love. So for me, this trade was not just receiving the ring - but talking with Rachel, sharing knowledge, discussing the challenges and the joys of starting a small business and choosing to pursue the things you love.A few weeks later I received the ring in the mail. It fits perfectly. Congratulations Rachel, on your little, beautiful, business and talented working hands. X.
The shoot discussed above was a great collaboration between many talented people. See the little list below for more details.
